I registered with Friend Finder earlier in the year, but did not find much time make contact with anyone. I then received an e-mail from a gentleman on Friend Finder on the 17th of December 1999 and we met for the first time for coffee on the 22nd December 1999. As we both felt that we had found our soulmates, things progressed rather rapidly and we were married on the 7th January 2000. We had both agreed that we would get married soon and have a small garden wedding
later, but I was not aware of how soon. I returned from a business
trip to Cape Town and was met at Johannesburg International Airport by my husband to be and a Minister. To our knowledge, this is the first wedding to have taken place in the Chapel at the Johannesburg Airport. Needless to say, we are both very happy and planning to start a family soon.

Being an honest person I had to let him know my story and that I was only looking for a friend. I didn't expect to hear from him again because he was only searching for a long time relationship. But to my surprise he wanted to be friends and sent a really nice email. Then we talked online as friends and really clicked. In one weekend, we talked about 20 hours online and about 10 hours on the phone. That weekend we both realized that we were made for each other - despite the fact that both of us (at our age) believed Mr. and Mrs. Right did not exist. In a week and a half, I moved from Alabama to Ohio to be with him. People I knew thought I was crazy moving in with a man I had never met or seen his face (except in photo form) and only knowing him for such a short time. But it is the best move I have ever made in my life!

Where do I start? I have tried numerous online dating services

I have to say a big THANK YOU to friend finder. I left my husband

Hello. I'm not sure if anyone will read this, but in case you do...I had to write this. I placed an ad on Friend Finder because a friend of mine had, and I thought it would be fun. After I placed my ad, I searched through the other ads and found one that caught my eye. It was written so simply but said so much. We talked through e-mail for a couple of weeks, then by phone. We were to meet one Saturday night, but he got in a wreck on his way to see me. So, our first date was in
his hospital room - the night after I found out what happened to him. His doctors' said he was lucky to be alive. And ever since then, I've been by his side every day. He means the world to me. Hi I joined Friendfinder last January 1999 and after receiving
replies from a few people I got my first from Home-bird. The attraction was instant! For about a month we mailed each other 3-4 times a day and then began to phone each other.
The first time we agreed to meet, I fell head over heels in love. We went on Holiday to Portugal in May, and when we returned he moved in with me. In June of last year, we went to see the Corrs in Dublin - which is where he proposed, and I said Yes.
I have since left my house, moved in with him and we hope to get married early 2001. After going through a terrible divorce and bringing up a child single handedly, my life has turned full circle. I never thought my dreams could come true and bring into my life a truly wonderful and caring person - and I certainly never believed it would happen on the Internet!
